How games work
Each of these games sits in its old spot on the island. Walk to the room, or jump there with the map, then click the game to start it. Most games explain their controls on the first screen, and every game pays coins when you finish. To find a game fast, open the map: every game has its own round icon there (the same icons as on the cards below), and clicking one takes you to its room.
Play fair: cheat tools and coin hacks break the rules and can get a penguin banned. On a phone, games that use the arrow keys bring up a game pad, and games you aim with the mouse get a touchpad. The Menu's Game pad button can turn the pad on in any game (see playing on a phone).
Here are the seven classics, each in its old spot:
Pizzatron 3000

Pizzas roll along a conveyor belt while a sign shows each order. Add the right sauce and toppings before the pizza reaches the end: the more you get right in a row, the faster the belt goes. Gary the Gadget Guy built the machine, and it has a sweet Candytron mode too. Tip: get five pizzas right in a row and you earn a bonus tip on top of your coins.
Cart Surfer

Ride a mine cart through the tunnels under the island. Lean into the corners so you stay on the track, and pull off tricks along the way for extra coins. Tip: start leaning before the corner, not in it.
Jet Pack Adventure

The Beacon, at the top of the Lighthouse on the Beach- Computer
- Up arrow to fly, left and right to steer

- Game pad: hold up to fly

Fly from place to place across the island, collecting coins as you go. Grab fuel cans before your tank runs dry, and watch out for anything in your way. If you run out of jet packs, your penguin floats down on a parachute; make it through the last level and you land in the Mine.
Ice Fishing

Drop your line through a hole in the ice and hook fish, but keep your worm away from crabs, jellyfish and sharks. Catch enough and you might meet Mullet, the biggest fish of all. You start with three worms, and you can catch extra ones as you fish.
Aqua Grabber

Steer a tiny submarine through the deep, grab treasure and drop it in the net. Your air slowly runs out, so swim through bubbles or pop up to the surface for more. The sub was first built to rescue the pieces of Rockhopper's ship, the Migrator, and the game stayed because penguins loved it.
Hydro Hopper

Ride an inner tube behind a speedboat and dodge everything that floats your way, jumping over what you can't steer around. It grew out of Ballistic Biscuit, an earlier game Lance Priebe made on RocketSnail. You have three lives, and from level 2 a white life ring can win one back.
Thin Ice

Guide a fiery black puffle through a maze of ice. Every tile you cross melts behind you, so plan a route that melts as much ice as you can, and pick up coin bags on the way. There are 19 levels and no lives to lose, so take your time.
Coins
Every new penguin starts with 500 coins, and every game adds more: the last screen of each game shows what you earned, and the coins go straight to your penguin. Spend them in the game's catalogues on clothes for your penguin and furniture for your igloo. Coins are just for fun, and nobody can buy them with real money.
