The four rules

Players found not following the Club Penguin rules risk being banned.
Personal information means anything that could help someone find you outside the game: your real name, age, address, school, phone number, email, social media accounts, passwords or photos. Keep all of it off the island, and never share your password, not even with a friend.
Penguin names
Pick a fun name that isn't your real name. Every new name is checked automatically, and names that are rude, that pretend to be a famous island character or staff, or that share personal information are not allowed. We may rename or remove a penguin whose name breaks the rules.
What moderators do
Moderators keep the island friendly. When someone breaks the rules, what happens depends on how serious it was:
- A warning for small things, so the penguin can do better.
- A kick out of the game, if it keeps happening.
- A ban for a while, or for good, for serious or repeated rule breaking. Cheating, threats, hate and sharing someone's personal information can mean a ban straight away.
Report a player
If someone is being mean, unsafe or unfair:
- Move away from them, and use the game's ignore option on their player card so you don't see their messages.
- Tell a moderator if one is in the room.
- Or write to abuse@clubpenguins.lol with the penguin's name, the room, the time and what happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
Reports are read by a person. We don't tell the other penguin who reported them.
If you ever feel unsafe or someone asks to meet you, stop chatting and tell a grown-up you trust. If a child is in danger, contact your local police or emergency number first.
Appeals
Think a warning, kick or ban was a mistake? Write to abuse@clubpenguins.lol from any email address, tell us your penguin's name and why, and a different moderator will take a look.
